How to Cheer up A Friend With A Charm Bracelet

Divorce can be hard on anyone but it was particularly hard on a very special friend of mine. Even though she did not have to move as she originally thought, just the divorce itself was so tough to get through. I wanted to give her something to remind her I would always be there for her, but I was completely lost as to what might be a good gift.

I knew that there had to be something I could get for her that would cheer her up and show her that I loved her and cared about her. Flowers or a plant would definitely not say what I needed to communicate with the gift, but I had no earthly idea what would.

One day my daughter came home from her friend's wedding rehearsal dinner with a beautiful collection of silver charms on a bracelet. Immediately I realized that this was the gift I had been looking for. I decided to search around for charms for bracelets that would signify my love and support while still staying upbeat and cheerful.

I thought about a collection of silver charms that would be unique, original and kind of a code for my friend to always keep with her about our friendship. This seemed like the perfect idea since she was having a really tough time.

I thought and thought and came up with a few simple idea that would be common items that carried a big meaning to her and I. I also decided to treat us to matching silver charm bracelets with a few matching charms as well.

To signify that I would always be able to there to come and get her, visit and just spend some time I found two silver charms of pick-up trucks. Since I drive one myself, she will know just what this means.

Charms of cell phones were the next addition to the silver charm bracelets, simply because we have always been the type of friends that talk to each other almost daily. I know she will smile when she sees them as we often kid each other about the phone calls back and forth.

To really personalize the gift the final matching charm between the two bracelets was a locket charm. Inside this silver charm I placed a picture of us both with our initials. The rest of the bracelet I filled up with different charms for each of us signifying things we loved, accomplished and cherished. Next time I see her I am going to surprise her with my friendship gift and I know she is going to be delighted.
