Paint colouring specialists- need some help?

I have a bachelor's pad style apartment, where the living room opens up the dining room, and you can see the kitchen because it curves to an angle where its very visible. I painted the living room Mocha Cream, and my colours are chocolate brown curtains, rugs, clocks etc. I'm big on earth tones.

My question is for my kitchen. RIght now its an ugly yellowish cream. I want to paint it either chocolate brown or teal/emerald green. Which one do think would match everything? I love the brown but i'm afraid it will make my apartment look really small. The green i'm afraid will make it look like a cheesy motel.

ps. i'll be using venetian plaster paint to give it a marble effect.

First - Venetian plaster is NOT paint - and should be applied w/ a trowel...make sure youLOVE the color you're using because you can only paint over this stuff once it's applied!

That said - a dark green w/ browns will definately give you an earthy feel - take your cabinet color into consideration as well - dark colors will bring out the wood grain more than lighter colors.

good luck
